Ian Wahl, DAc, LAc, CH

Ian Wahl is the founder and director of the Wahls of Wellness, a family health clinic dedicated to natural healthcare.  He is also the founder and director of the Natural Fertility Health Centers, specializing in women’s and men’s health and reproductive wellness as well as the Midwest Allergy Relief Center, specializing in Advanced Allergy Therapeutics, a painless, non-invasive allergy treatment for adults and children. His successful treatment programs offer a unique blending of eastern and western medicine often integrated with essential oils, Chinese herbal medicine, healing meditations, and spiritual awareness practices. Ian graduated from Washington University in 1972 and, after graduate school, was a practicing psychotherapist.  He also holds a Doctor of Acupuncture (RI), a Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM), is National Board Certified, and licensed to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Rhode Island.

Ian is a professional member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Latex Allergy Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, the American Holistic Medical Association, the American Association of Oriental Medicine, the American Herbalists Guild, the Holistic Pediatric Association, and the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Ian has been published in professional journals and is a regular contributor to Chicago Healer’s Wellness Wednesday Columns. He is also one of the authors featured in the book Dynamic Health, and is a keynote speaker with the Foundation for Wellness Professionals™.

Beverly Wahl, ATP^®; Theta Healing II^®; C.A.R.E^® Aromatherapy

Beverly is an ordained non-denominational Minister as well as a Spiritual Intuitive Healer and Clairvoyant Medium.  Beverly is certified as an Angel Therapy^® Practitioner and Medium by Doreen Virtue.  Beverly has DNA Level II Theta Healing^® Practitioner certification.  She is also certified in C.A.R.E^®. (Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education), by Dr. David Stewart in the use of Young Living^® Essential Oils to help release the emotional blocks to healing.

Beverly’s field of expertise lies in the use of a combination of healing modalities that incorporate her Clairvoyant and Mediumship gifts.  She uses these gifts to channel information from the spirit world of Angels, Ascended Masters, and Spirit Guides (individuals who have passed on) to bring messages of hope, healing and love to her clients.  Her mission is to bridge the gap between the physical and spiritual worlds by offering love, hope, healing, comfort, and guidance to those in need.

In addition, one of Beverly’s specialties is to teach couples to open the lines of communication between parents and the spirit of their unborn child in order to remove any spiritual blocks that may be causing fertility problems for them.  One of Beverly’s life missions is to be of service to the parents and their children as they make their way to us to usher in a new era of peace on our planet.

Beverly is married to her soul mate Ian, and is the mother of three wonderful children, Todd, Aaron and Pamela and is “Nana” to one beautiful granddaughter, Rachel.  Beverly is currently writing her first book entitled The Healing Spirit.

Gwendolyn Carfora, DAc, LAc, MSTOM

Gwendolyn Carfora graduated from the University of Arizona where she studied Psychology and Business.  After relocating to the Midwest she decided to pursue her passion for natural healthcare motivated by her own success with acupuncture helping her overcome a lifelong skin disorder.  She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago.  She is a Diplomate Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Gwen successfully completed the training course in Advanced Allergy Therapeutics and received certification as a practitioner.

Gwen regularly attends post-graduate courses to stay current with the most progressive advancements in acupuncture and Oriental medicine.  In addition to being an excellent TCM physician, Gwen is also happily married and the mother of two beautiful children.

Michelle Tolczyk, LAc, MSTOM

Michelle graduated from Roosevelt University here in our home town of Chicago where she earned a Bachelor of Education. A couple years down the line she knew she was ready to go back to school for her master’s degree. Having always been an advocate of healthy well-being, she did extensive research and discovered eastern medicine. After reading in depth about acupuncture and herbs, she knew this was her calling. She pursued her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago.

Michelle has worked at the Chicago Women’s Health Center as well as interning at the PCOM Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Clinic in Manhattan, New York. She is Board Certified and holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture.

In order to stay abreast of current trends and new practices in Oriental Medicine, Michelle regularly attends post-graduate courses and continuing education seminars. Her good heart and compassion to help others shines through as a practitioner. We are very happy she has chosen to become a part of our team.

Jackie Hernandez

Jackie Hernandez is a Skin Therapist who graduated from The Cosmetology & Spa Institute in Crystal Lake, IL. Jackie believes that beauty comes from the inside out and that helping people control skin related issues gives them the confidence to “take on the world”. She has a passion for skin care and transfers that passion to her clients by helping them look and feel their best.

We are excited that Jackie has joined us. Her professionalism and enthusiasm permeates the quality of her work. Jackie provides esthetic treatments including customized facials, microcurrent face-lifts and body rejuvenation, and diamond microdermabrasion. Jackie enjoys giving her expertise to people in need of professional advice and treatment. When her work makes her clients feel happy, she feels her professional goal is fulfilled. Jackie is married and the mother of two boys who keep her very busy.
